Celebrity Bowling

This game show features celebrities Rob Reiner, Loretta Swit, Angie Dickenson, Sammy Davis Jr., Dick Martin, Bob Newhart, Roy Rogers and many more. The stars let their hair down, as they bowl for strikes and spares with each other, while exchanging witty ad lib comments.

Each episode features four celebrities, bowling in teams of two. In do-or-die competitions, what they occasionally lack in bowling skills, they more than make up for in entertaining banter. The stars let the pins, as well as the chips, fall where they may.

As an added attraction, members of the studio audience are brought into the spirit of the game. This adds to the home viewers' sense of participation. Each star plays for a member of the audience whose name is drawn from a jar. The winning celebrities get no prizes, but their audience partners win valuable awards. "Losers" are consoled with bowling ball certificates, so there are only happy endings. A few of the many other stars include Lucy Arnaz and William Shatner.
